Vermont State Police said this evening that a body of a woman found in Barnet is believed to be missing St. Johnsbury teacher Melissa Jenkins.
Barnet is about 11 miles from St. Johnsbury, where Jenkins lived and where her car was found.
Police said an area off of Comerford Dam Road was disturbed and that's where the body was found.
Police answered few questions at the news conference at 6:30 p.m., including whether the case is an isolated incident or whether police had any suspects.
