i think Tommy just wanted to illustrate what a wonderful guy he is, and what a great catch. how lucky a woman is to have him in her clawlike grasp.

I would guess that to be true. Just a "bit dumber" would be probably spin your cylinder. I'd say if he accepted ALL of your opinions without challenge, you would melt like an Eskimo Pie.
