Police searched in vain after returning for a second day yesterday looking for evidence in the mysterious two-week-old disappearance of Gloucester toddler Caleigh Anne Harrison along Rockport’s Long Beach, said state police spokesman David Procopio.
Investigators launched into action Thursday when a man walking his dog reported his pet was acting oddly. State and Rockport police searched the area Thursday and brought in more resources yesterday.
Police revisited the section of the beach with search dogs and a backhoe yesterday, but after hours of searching and digging, they reported “nothing found.”
