I had a friend once that did the co-sleeping and she nursed her oldest til a year and weaned bc she got pregnant again, but still nursed her youngest for who knows how long. When I moved away, her kids were almost one and almost 3, not sleeping through the night unless she went in and laid with them and cried if you looked at them funny. My kids wouldn't sleep in my bed if you paid them. Its been like that since they were babies, they hated it, and with the nursing it would have been easier, but they were having none of it.
