"Slipstream" is her new album; really like her version of Gerry Rafferty's Right Down the Line. Good stuff.
I fucking HATE remakes.
I usually like Stevie Nicks, but she tried to cover Dave Mathews' 'Crash Into Me' a couple of years ago, and I almost threw up.
Can you please construct a sentence that uses the following words, 'Midwest Spy' 'HairoftheDog' and 'release'?
TIA
In my mind, there's a difference between a cover version and a remake. When Bonnie Raitt does something by another artist, she remakes it. It's like homage to the original, but with her unique take and style. She's not simply snaggin' a good song and doing it the same way. That's HairOfTheDog's take on what she chooses to release, Midwest Spy (constructed that sentence for you, wink).
It doesn't matter what I think though; it's totally subjective and thankfully there's plenty of music out there for every taste.
If there's a relatively new release, or even something older, that you really like, post it up - old or new artist. I'll give it a listen. Resist posting Dan Fogelberg though, I know his full body of work already.
P.s. Hope you had a nice weekend trip, MS. Sounds like it was good fun and good weather. Off to the grind.
