BUFFALO, N.Y. -- 2 On Your Side has received a statement issued by Roland M. Cercone, the Attorney for Officer Martin Motley III in regards to the ongoing investigation following a deadly shooting at ECMC.

Motley was stopped by police after he was seen at Dr. Jorden's home in Lake View shortly after Wednesday's shooting. He was carrying a gun, a rolex watch, and $5,000 cash.

Press Release Issued by Roland M. Cercone, Attorney for Officer Martin Motley:

"Officer Martin Motley wants it to be clear that he had no knowledge of this impending incident nope. no prior knowledge. or the current whereabouts of Dr. Timothy Jorden, Jr. In fact, Officer Motley has cooperated fully with the Buffalo Police Department, the Erie County District Attorney's Office and the federal investigators and has offered them full access to his phone and text messages to confirm his lack of involvement.

In the days prior to the incident, Officer Motley was suspicious about some of the behavior of Dr. Timothy Jorden which included some unusual gift giving. He even inquired of family members to see if Dr. Jorden was okay. so he naturally confiscated a Rolex and $5,000.
he's an out of service cop. on medical leave. for years.

Then when Officer Motley heard about the shooting at Wednesday morning, at ECMC he tried to reach Dr. Jorden by telephone and texting but received no response. Whereupon, being concerned, he drove out to Dr. Jorden's house but could not find him. It was upon leaving the house that he was then stopped by the police and has cooperated fully with all law enforcement authorities.

Officer Motley's first and foremost concerns and prayers go out to the child, family and friends of Jackie Wisniewski. He also prays for the safe resolution of this matter for Dr. Jorden and his family.

No further comment will be available due to the ongoing investigation into this matter."
