Well more or less instant. Sunshine kille chlorine, thats why you have to use stabilizer. Fortunately, most of the nasties you fear will only be on people that are not in your pool, at least thats my story. Of those that might be on one of my guests, they croak in a matter of seconds.
I make it a practice to have clean friends.

I believe we were referring to public swimming pools.
Im assuming this is why they always make you wash/rinse before you
get into a public pool?
