dirtbag the felon shack-up has only been charged with assault so far.
i am certain evidence is being gathered to charge him with murder.
the beauty of it is it will be the Feds, not locals, who bring murder charges since it is Federal land. and they WILL seek the death penalty.
they may or may not use the mom as a witness for now, but if they really want to put the screws to both of them for testimony, they'll charge her with something too. then they will turn on each other like rabid wolverines.
