When I first met you HotD, you made me think of this song:

I say that because it was my first composition I attempted using the newly developed Cakewalk PC software, which with a keyboard and a computer turned your keyboard into a compositional tool that you could layer music tracks with.

I produced my own version of this pretty much note for note, and blew myself away in the process.

I know of the software. I'm not a real talent by any stretch, but I've done some back up singing and tambourine. Side gigs when I had more energy. Spent a little time in the studio back in the day.

My buddy MT is the biggest Zappa fan that I've ever met. I've got a mini cooler of his in the garage with a "Zappa for President" sticker on it. Inside is a bunch of essays that MT's written over the years. If he wasn't so consumed with the bottle (beer only actually, by the case, every day), I think he could kick out some brilliant works. As it stands, he's great, but too unfocused to every really hit it home.
