I think it's possible to accurately assess a person's nature strictly through online interaction. We like to kid ourselves that what we write is somehow not an extension of us, but that's not the case. No one can hide their nature for that long a period, when the written word is the only representation of you and each word you type is a deliberate act of revealing your actual self.

It is very easy to tell who is genuine online and who is not. And in rare cases, identify with and like someone almost immediately.

Or dislike, as the case may be.
