It depends on the kind of distress like Clang said. I'm not the one to jump out of my car and push someones broken down vehicle out of traffic, thats more of a guy thing. I did pull my car over once to help a lady get her dog out of the middle of the street and I drove an old lady home from the grocery store because she was outside asking people for a ride and I've seen her walking around the neighborhood before.
