I remember going to sears with my Mother to buy a suit for my 8^th grade graduation party. Polyester was rampant then and I hated it. All the cool kids were wearing flower child stuff. It was awful.

Trax tennis shoes from K-Mart when everyone else had Adidas. I didn't care at all, but my one-year-younger sister was mortified and I had to literally kick her butt to school the first few days of the new semester. She just wasn't gonna go. Seems funny now, but not so much back then...
