Investigators search the back of the white van where the baby died on Saturday afternoon





A nine-month-old boy has died after being left in a scorching hot car parked in his family's driveway.

The baby, who has not been named, was unresponsive when he was discovered strapped into a baby seat in the back of a white minivan between 3.30pm and 4.30pm on Saturday.

He was rushed to hospital where he was pronounced dead.The vehicle was parked in the back driveway of the two-story Lowell, Massachusetts, home where the little boy lived.
