There are quite a few things that have shocked me to the core and changed my view on a few things:
A collection of pictures taken in a concentration/death camp at the day of liberation
A teddy bear with (only) a child's arm still attached to it at the site of a train wreck. Of all the horrors of that day, that image will stick for as long as I live.
Documentary on the famine in Sahel
Pictures taken in the Stalingrad pocket
Hiroshima/Nagasaki atomic bombing documentary
Those would be the most intense ones for me.
