Tracy Edwards—the man who escaped Jeffrey Dahmer’s apartment and led to the end of the killer’s murder spree—was arrested, just days after the anniversary of his escape, accused of killing a fellow homeless man.
The 52-year-old allegedly pushed a man, Johnny Jordan, off a Milwaukee bridge. Edwards pleaded not guilty to initial charges of first-degree recklessly endangering safety. Edwards’ charges were upgraded to reckless homicide. Timothy Carr, who was also spotted at the scene, pleaded guilty to the initial charges. A witness told police he or she saw both men push the victim into the water.
If convicted, Edwards faces 60-years in prison, and could serve time at the Columbia Correctional Institute—the same place Jeffrey Dahmer served time before he was killed in 1994.
