I think just looking at her gives that answer
IDK, SC, I can't tell by a photo if she has a previous criminal record. But, I agree that Stokes-Wilson does look evil (and that could be partly because of the context in which I'm seeing her picture).
Looks like she was a blackjack dealer at the Bellagio, one of the most posh resorts on the Vegas strip. I think that Stokes-Wilson had to be relatively sharp/experienced and have passed a stringent background check to hold that position. So far, none of the many articles published indicate any criminal record.
If she has no priors, the doctor confirms that she approached him asking to be hospitalized because she had urges to hurt someone, and her lawyer can make a case that she snapped in a crime of passion, I share sharit's concern that she won't get what she deserves (should be the absolute max, in my opinion, regardless of circumstances). The fact that she sat in jail for a week and offered no assistance in locating Jade's body should help lower the chances of her getting off too easy, I hope.
The coroner officially ruled the body as Jade's last night; she died from multiple stab wounds.
