I sure hope the jury doesn't buy her bullshit.

A twist on prosecuting a Self-Defense claim in my Grand Canyon State (beginning in 2006):

"The 2006 law shifted the burden of proof in cases where people charged with a crime are claiming self-defense.

The new law says prosecutors must prove beyond a reasonable doubt that a self-defense claim was unfounded.

The old law made defendants prove that they acted to protect themselves."

She's got nothing to lose by taking the stand.

I still think at this point the prosecution has done nothing but shown Travis hasn't had a violent temper towards any past girlfriends. she got up on the stand and that prosecutor is going to tear her apart. I will give that Jodi seems to have her dates down so far on things but I can't wait till the prosecutor gets a hold of her, I hope he does his job. it is interesting to know about the change in law. so what does that mean exactly?

also to me if she had all this "abuse" from the years past and if an expert gets up there and says well when Travis attacked her she feared for her life and she killed him. I'm not going to believe her, she left all those other abusive situations and knew when to leave those situations. She has had a lot of time to talk to people and accumulate stories of what domestic abuse is and how you would react etc. I'm not saying everyone was spanked as a kid and I know my parents did and did far worse than hers did and I didn't kill anyone. I just don't believe her nor did I believe her sadden expression when looking at his erection, could she have been acting any more! they had a very sexual relationship and she sees two pictures of his penis and it makes her cry, come on! those were on her hard drive, maybe I am missing something, maybe he forced her to look at them until her eyes hurt, I'm kidding.
