Paulie, violence is violence. Brazil or the US, it matters not. People perpetrate it everywhere. Criminal enterprise and drug violence mostly when it comes down to it.
I assume you are well aware that people here in the US do not have machine guns. I assume you also know that they are not legal to own here in the US. I will also assume that you are aware that 98%-99% of firearm fatalities in the US are caused by handguns, and not long guns like scary assault rifles. I know that puts a crimp on a specific narrative, but it is the fact. I'd suggest that facts are not meaningless, even if you'd like to minimize them.
Nowhere did I ever assert any justification for people owning machine guns - but by all means laugh if you must. It's good for the soul.
