12 and soon to be 9 - so no, they won't be buying much of anything. Their father however is big into hunting and all that and he has BB guns and pellet guns for them.
One time we went target shooting years and years ago. My BIL let me try his 45. He stood really close behind me and I was like back up, you're in my space. He said just shoot it. I did and it's a good thing he was behind me or I would have ended up on my ass! He laughed his ass off at me because I was totally taken off guard at how powerful that thing was.
