They were never husbands. Nor were they even lovers. They were owners. They saw those women as possessions, an item to treat how they see fit. Something to kick about to keep their ego intact or hold their place with their peers.
There was never any love, caring, protection or life sharing in those situations, nor any agreement. They are not even fit to be called men, let alone husbands.
