It’s possible that George is telling the truth and I feel reasonable in doubting what LE is charging at this time. There has been no physical evidence released to indicate whether it was George or Trayvon who was the initial physical aggressor. That's what this all boils down to, for me. All we know from George’s bloody nose and head wounds is that there was an altercation, not who initiated it and nobody witnessed anything until after the altercation was in progress. I'm interested in hearing George testify under oath.
-I’d like to know why George didn’t know the name of the street that he patrolled for years in the small gated community in which he lived. If there’s a believable/reasonable explanation for that, then it will be less likely to me that he lied and used that as an excuse to justify not staying put as advised so that he could pursue Trayvon Martin (which seems to be what LE is implying in the probable cause statement).
-I wanna hear George explain his contention that he didn’t identify himself as Neighborhood Watch (or inform Trayvon that he had a gun and/or had called police) because he wanted to avoid a confrontation. To me, revealing that information would negate, rather than encourage, a confrontation. If George has a believable/reasonable explanation for that, then I’ll think it’s less likely that he lied about that contention in order to hide the fact that he was determined to stop Trayvon from getting away at all costs, simply because he harbored suspicion (and despite the fact that police had advised George that they would handle the matter).
George's answers to those questions will help clarify, for me, whether it's reasonable to believe that Trayvon attacked George and George killed him in self defense. Some physical and forensic evidence would really help; hope something compelling exists.
Robert Zimmerman Jr., Piers Morgan, Gladys Zimmerman, George’s cousin, Trayvon’s school records, previous complaints filed against George, et all…. For now, they contribute nothing to help clarify what happened the night of Feb. 26,2012 and are therefore mostly irrelevant to me. Junior seems to be working unwittingly against his family's cause and seems unbalanced to me, but he has the right to speak freely and he, not kids on the internet, is of course accountable for his own words and actions. I think they may bite his brother in the ass. We'll see.
Anyway, I don’t know if you’ll be unable to accept a “not guilty” verdict without indignation if that’s what the testimony and evidence at trial suggests to a jury, Adub. Doesn't matter. There are equally insistent and strong opinions posted here in favor of George being guilty, in favor of George being innocent, and in favor of there not being enough known to draw reach an objective conclusion at this time. Keeps it interesting.
