Not sure. I usually think of statutory rape as applying to cases where a child wasn't threatened with physical harm but wasn't legally able to give consent. I don't know if that's the legal definition though.
In the OP case, the victims were assaulted and forced. I think there might be valid charges of aggravated assault, rape, and statutory rape against the girly pimps and the johns.
I love Canada; spent a bit of time in Ottawa and Toronto, but don't know the specific laws there. I do know that one of the biggest jokes (well, maybe tied with Casey Anthony) when it comes to justice is from Canada. The fact that Karla Homolka got such a sweet plea deal is a sad laugh (she completely punked investigators and prosecutors and shrinks). Maddening that she's living the high life; married with kids on some island. Hopefully her case was an exception. Evil bitch...
