The only time I have been to the dentist in my life was 8 years ago and it was for aesthetic reasons, not because there was anything actually wrong with my teeth other than crowding and causing them to become crooked. I had every one of my teeth which they said is uncommon because most people have problems and end up having the back ones pulled at some point. So I had 8 teeth pulled and braces for a year and a half and that's the first and probably the last time I'll go again unless I get a cavity.
Just brushing everyday has managed to keep mine in fine shape for 38 years.
