I am talking about gun massacres lone fruit loops walking into schools, shopping malls, cinemas and churches and randomly blowing people away. Usually with guns purchased legally in almost every single case. To say having background checks on nutcases wanting to buy guns would have no effect on the volume of gun massacres is an exercise in self delusion and lunacy.

I knew what you are talking about and other countries with shootings of more than 4 individuals are somehow magically forgotten or not mentioned.

I included these countries for your review with the caveat they REQUIRE a mental health component for gun ownership.

No one . . . NO ONE disagrees with the statement that identifying nutcases and preventing them from purchasing weapons is a bad idea.

You are failing to grasp a simple and god only knows how many fucking times it has been repeated fact that the US has extremely prohibitive laws regarding the disclosure of medical records.

You are quick to blame the NRA and the right wing nutfucks as the preventative force.

Here's something from the Ultra Liberal ACLU's website regarding medical record privacy and the evil Bush administration WHO WANTED TO OPEN THEM UP!

TO: Interested Persons

FROM: Ron Weich, ACLU Legislative Consultant

RE: Medical Records Privacy

DATE: March 7, 2001

A recent decision by the Bush Administration threatens to delay or weaken long-sought medical privacy protections in federal law. The ACLU supports the strongest possible medical confidentiality rules and opposes industry-led efforts to reduce patient privacy.

The Clinton administration locked them down in 1996.

The GOP has been fighting the privacy issue ever since.

And the Mental Health lobby will do anything to prevent the stigma of mental illness from returning.

You rally aren't as daft as aussie, are you?
