I would probably try to scare the person off and call police.
However, Trayvon was not breaking into anyone's home. He was walking in the complex where he was staying, at night, in the rain, with a hoodie on. He was not in the commission of a crime.
Zimmerman reported Trayvon as suspicious because he didn't recognize him and there had been break-ins in the area recently; some of those culprits had gotten away. Zimmerman did not report or follow Trayvon because Trayvon was doing anything illegal.
I know that HOTD, I was asking a related question that was , as I said, getting off topic.
