I wonder where the 10 year old is staying and what's going on with that case.

According to the Department of Corrections, there were 754 youth offenders in California's juvenile justice facilities and camps as of Dec. 31, none under the age of 14. Most juvenile cases are settled out of court by defense lawyers, the district attorney and a probation officer, and most juvenile hearings are closed to the public, but this case will bear a stronger resemblance to criminal court proceedings, Myers said.
Maybe the 10 year old is being processed through Juvenile Justice, but isn't in a juvenile detention facility because he had an existing anger management issue, apparently managed by medication. Doesn't seem like he or his adoptive mother denied the killing, based on the article.
Anyway, the fact that the 10 year old is facing similar charges in California's Juvenile Justice system might make it even less likely for Isaiah's attorneys to get anywhere with the claim that he's too young to go the same route. Precedent.
