The judge is very good. And, I agree.
I've seen at least 5 different photos used of Zimmerman in the media, and I've seen the recent picture of Martin in a grey knit cap as often as I've seen the photos of him from a couple of years prior to his death.
I've read news reports that leaned towards Zimmerman being in the right, Zimmerman being in the wrong, and some reports that stood straight up and just reported facts.
Some of the photos, news reports, and on-line communications undoubtedly influenced some members of the jury pool into forming an unwavering opinion regarding guilt or innocence. That's one of the reasons there was potential juror questioning specific to media exposure only, before traditional voir doire began. Those from the pool that made it on to the jury were deemed by both sides to be qualified to render a verdict based on the evidence and testimony at trial.
None of the old photos or media leanings will have an impact on whether George Zimmerman walks free or goes to prison. IMO.
