I went there because my Mom had a stroke and was found unconscious on the bathroom floor by my sister. She was rushed to the hospital and they wanted last rites, a ventilator and for my sis to sign a do not resuscitate order she was crying and was really upset. I said no to all 3 and would be there on the next plane. She improved 50% and was barely talking when I got there. After a week of being there she was able to move her arms and legs and use a walker. She now has a visiting nurse, meals delivered every day and a physical therapist.
The lesson here is never go by what some doctor says right away, get a second opinion and have faith. She may only live another year but she will live and with some kind of quality and not in a nursing home. She's a tough bird that's for sure.
