Same here; I've known my best friend since we were 12. He is the brother that I never had. No sexual tension or romantic interest involved.

Life. People, both men and women, try to cross all kinds of lines all of the time - some more than others.
It's not a given that every straight man will act the same way under the same circumstances with every woman. That's not been my reality, at least. Maybe you're just too sexy for your own damn good, aussie!
Anyway, I'd hate shielding myself from potentially interesting people/situations due to the fact that there's no guarantee that they're "safe" from becoming "awkward". Total pessimistic drag. If you can handle awkward situations, what's the real "danger'?
