Will be interesting to see if anything more officially comes out of this case.
The San Diego Sheriff has been adamant that Hannah Anderson was a victim of DiMaggio in every sense of the word.
FBI and LE have made repeated public statements that the case was basically closed with DiMaggio's death.
Could be that those are statements for public consumption and there's continued investigation going on behind the scenes. I don't think so, but that's just a gut feeling on my part.
IMO, it's more likely that new aspects of the case will be revealed/pursued if Lora or others engage private investigation.
P.s. The cat was reportedly DiMaggio's. He had a lot of cats and the one he took with them, Princess, was one that he rescued after an accident. The DiMaggio family friend who was interviewed figured he took his cat because he was planning on killing himself and Hannah; killing a beloved animal first is not uncommon.
