The only reason it usually looks like 'you against the (so called) snake pit' is because you go around poking at the snakes with a stick first.

I get a kick out of the perpetually proactive pokers who deem themselves so very misunderstood.

Luckily, you tossing out common sense in an easily-understood analogy isn't likely to quash that kick.

That self-imposed victim mentality is almost impenetrable, from what I've seen.
