But, given Jones' previous confession that the three were bored, wanted to see what it felt like to kill someone, and Lane was a convenient target, the suspects' attorneys don't have the option of claiming their clients weren't involved and/or it was an accident.
The defense is getting (unbelievably) creative and grasping at straws, IMO. I hope it doesn't work and don't think it will.
