I always understood alcoholism to be an inability to control/manage one's drinking which caused problems in one's life, not a lack of desire to stop drinking moderately and without problems.
You don't drink and drive. You can just stop when you're sick. You don't let alcohol cause problems in your life. Doesn't sound like you're a functioning alcoholic, sounds more like you're a functional person who just likes to have a few glasses of wine at night - like you have the ability to control/manage your intake.
Whatever the case, glad you're functional either way.
