Quote:I have never understood the logic of prisoners being on lockdown 22 hours a day. Surely there is something they can do?, something constructive or worthwhile? In some prisons there are things they can do. The higher the level of security, the fewer inmates are able to get jobs. In level 2, the lowest security risk cases, they have quitea bit of "freedom" as in access to outdoors, wandering the main block, not locked into their cells most of the day.
In higher level prisons such as a level 4 where you know who is, the jobs are very hard to come by. Any disciplinary problems and you don't get a job. Front off to a guard and you don't get a job. Your block rep is wearing a 60-grit tampon that day, you don't get a job. Any bitch in the offices is on her rag, you dn't get a job. A guard doesn't like you because you have blue eyes, you don't get a job.
Level 5 prisons; NO jobs for any of them. 24 hours a day lockdown.
