How DOES a plane full of people just disappear without a trace??

I don't know. Downed planes leave evidence behind, floating luggage, bodies, plane parts, etc.

It would be exceedingly hard but not impossible to land & hide a plane in this age of technology. Countries do not want to share their satellite pix for security reasons, I understand that, not easy to accept but I do "get" it.

I feel like a lot of time has been wasted.
