Went to visit my "new" grandson (he's wonderful, btw), ate out with his parents and my husband (so beautiful we were able to dine outside overlooking the Ohio River). The very best part which I have not shared is how he acted/reacted today. He was born with the cord wrapped around his neck and had aspirated his own waste. That's why he spent almost a week in Kosairs Childrens' Hospital (was transferred there immediately after birth). I have been scared to death something was wrong w/him since his birth Jan. 6. Eyes wouldn't focus on anything - just creepy scary. Today is the first time he actually looked at us, smiled constantly, and reached for a toy. I know this is of no importance to anyone but just had to share how 100% relieved I am. He's normal!!!!!!
I know that's scary, I'm glad he's doing good. My daughter had something similar after she was born and had to be air lifted to a children's hospital.
