Does anyone think that "Redskins" is a racist slur, or has anyone seen it portrayed negatively?

I don't think it's a slur & when this first started being bandied about I asked some redskins that I know personally and they think it's ridiculous. They have never taken offense to it.

I haven't seen it portrayed negatively, I only see people acting moronically in their effort to have it taken away.
