Yup . . . we got a bunch o' nuggets, pickers and flakes. But what surprised me the most was the hunt and not the actual gold.
I think that's something that I'd really enjoy, too.
Sounds like a cool and interesting prospect; outdoors with a bunch of optimists who are willing to get their hands and nails dirty. Golden opportunity.
And, I'm sure there was no mockery or tomfoolery or monkey business or shenanigans or anything like that with your band of gold diggers.
I too was roughing it for a few days while you were away. Yep, Motel 6. Wasn't as profitable as your getaway, though. I did find a picker -- the guy at the front desk -- nose only, not butt or anything -- not that I saw, anyway. And, came across some flakes, as well -- the lovely couple down the hall who let their toddler (I couldn't tell if the kid was a boy or a girl) play on the stairs, adjacent to the drive-way, unattended. If it weren't for the view of the Denny's dining room from my window, I'd almost say the place qualified as a dive.
Anyway, glad you're back, Tiki.
P.s. How was the feedback on your outdoor cooking skills?
