Thanks for the tips though, I'm always appreciative for insider information.
Ramsey will probably kick you like a bad habit if you make a move.
Or, slap me for playing faux match-maker.
Either way, let the good times roll!
(Actually, she's probably gonna just ignore us altogether -- she's not one for drama or anything like that.)

Ended up cheating tonight and ordering garlic prawns with steamed vegetables (broccoli, carrots, and water chestnuts) from my favorite Chinese delivery place.
I did a client visit and an assessment on opposite sides of the city this afternoon. Then, went to the market and filled my bag, only to realize as I was standing in line at check-out that I hadn't transferred my wallet from the purse to the brief case and didn't have a dime on me (nor my driver's license, nor any other form of payment or ID) -- frustrating. I did the same thing two weeks ago. Anyway, I didn't feel like making a second run to the market, so took the slacker's route.
Tomorrow, we're going to the store because what I really wanted were chilled prawns with a little lemon juice on shredded lettuce, dipped in lime chili sauce. Some hummus and olives on the side are always good.
Yeah, I like wine -- not a connoisseur -- pretty much like it all except White Zinfandel and terribly sweet varieties or mixes (though working through a couple of pitchers of Sangria on a nice weekend outside isn't too sweet a pursuit for my tastes).
Zinfandel and Syrah work well for me, but I probably drink more Cab than any other red and almost exclusively Chardonnay when it comes to white wines.
Not a big dessert person, more for salty appetizers, but typically skip both unless it's a special occasion.
So, what's YOUR ideal meal and pairing (to make or order)?
I am so glad to know that I'm not the only one to show up someplace without my wallet. I usually get "the look" that I must be lieing out my ass or should not be allowed out without supervision...Seriously?
An enjoyable meal on my menu... would be some fresh grilled Halibut, Asparagus either grilled or flash steamed not too picky (just not limp - limp asparaus is not good!) The hummus sounded yummy. I get spoiled with homemade hummus. The wine most commonly found in hand would be Moscato either d'Asti or straight; but usually the d'Asti. Though a good Shiraz is very high on my list. Yet, I could easily make a meal out of a good bottle of wine some fresh fruits, cheeses, and good company.
I must admit, I have not previously been a heavy hitter on the prawns, but you did a magnificent job with your description... made me want to take another swing at them.
