The windows start about 2 feet off the ground, which is the perfect level for him to stand and people watch. We used to have to open the curtains and he'd jump up to lean on the sill, but his back legs would get tired and he'd hop down. On good days, we'd lock the screens and leave the doors open for him.
Here, we just leave the blinds a foot above the sill and he can just look out. No mess, no fuss. Plus he has views from the front, side, and back, so he's 360 watchdog.
The fun way to soil underwear is from lapdances.
I left most of my sentimental stuff in Philly when I moved out to Ohio to be with girl. She doesn't keep sentimental stuff, and we sold as much furniture as possible. We put my motorcycle in a Uhaul, packed the rest with clothes/kitchenware/washer/dryer/few new furniture things, threw the car on a trailer on the back of the truck, and drove. The actual traveling was pretty easy.
