I just finished the essay today. It is an epidemiological paper that explores suicide in Australia. My paper is called Suicide in Australia - An Epidemiological Approach. I then give a lay persons perspective and what role they can play in the prevention and health promotion. Suicide needs to be talked about more in Australia, the old saying 'commit suicide' comes from the days when it was a crime and a 'cardinal sin'. It's an illness. I cite Chloe's Law as an example of a lay persons perspective and how powerful that message was in Australia. It did more to promote awareness than any government campaign I have seen.
