Our county got rid of plastic bags in most stores recently and paper bags cost $.10. It's been well advertised and coming for months and yet, there's always the idiot that freaks out.

I was behind a woman in line yesterday and when told she would have to pay $.10 for a bag she said "well, if you're going to be that cheap, I don't want one"! So the poor Down's Syndrome bag boy looks at her, looks at the cart...



So he starts stacking her items neatly in little rows in her cart. Her stupid credit card won't swipe so she practically throws it at the clerk and says "here, YOU deal with it"! Then she asks for "just one plastic bag" and the clerk tells her there are none in the store. You'd think someone spit in her coffee. She was pissed. I love shit like that.

Then it's my turn and I've got a couple of huge CostCo. bags. Poor Jason (the bag boy) took several minutes putting items in my bag (I wanted to reach over and start doing it myself but he gets a little pissy when you do that). He has to actually look ahead and figure out how to divide the items up and apparently that's beyond him. He loaded up one bag with almost my entire order and then put two items in the second. Our local retard population needs retraining I think.
