Since Loosey Loo isn't much into answering questions, MS, I'll try and put it into terms that you are familiar with. A workers club/RSL Club/Sports Club/Bowling Club in Australia is a bit like a smaller American Casino crossed with a sports bar, except there are no gambling tables, only slot machines. They have a bar, or various bars, a food option or sometimes more (a la carte or a buffet). You can also bet on sports via a TAB outlet. They sometimes have shows like cover singers and some of the larger ones will have headline acts. They also have bingo and other community type things for seniors. A lot of them will also incorporate lawn bowls as well. Membership is usually very inexpensive, say under $20. Usually like $5-10, for a social non-sport playing member.
