Within 22 minutes of the video release of their fighter pilot being burned alive, Jordan started moving its IS-associated prisoners to the execution jail in the south of the country.
I can't find it now, but I read something in the last week where Jordan claimed it would execute any ISIS prisoners in it's custody if the pilot was executed. I don't remember if I read it in a credible source or not..
But, I also read today that the jail these prisoners are being moved to is renowned in Jordan for carrying out executions. I wonder if it's sabre rattling, coincidence or if they are going to make good on that promise.
If they did, I would have thought it may be considered a war crime i.e. executing prisoners in custody, but I don't know enough about the intricacies of the Geneva Convention to pass firm comment on that. With ISIS not being a recognised State or Country, the GC may not even cover it for all I know.
I don't see how executing the prisoners will affect ISIS anyway; they don't give a fuck if they get them back or not. If they did, they wouldn't have murdered the pilot a month ago.
