The Jodi Arias Trial--Fatal Attraction – The Murder of Travis Alexander
That's a good point, Duchess. The retrial jury heard testimony from Arias in closed court for a couple of days before the appeals court overturned Judge Stephens' decision to keep the witness testimony veiled. Then, Arias clammed up.

So, although the retrial took about as long as the trial and the retrial jury also looked at her mug for about 5 months, maybe this jury won't feel like they know her so intimately? That could make it easier for them to decide in favor of death. I think they'll give her life, but I wouldn't bet the farm on it.

I think Arias refused to continue testifying because it gives her an appeal issue if she's sentenced to death. She can claim that her personal mitigating witnesses were threatened (I actually believe that) and that the court failed to protect them and her by not keeping the retrial closed to media reporting = the retrial jury missed out on hearing some mitigating circumstances that could have kept her off death row.

P.s. I wonder where @Heartbreaker is hiding out these days. She followed the first trial closely and I liked reading her opinions, also Kid's and Tiki's and Adub's, etc.. I remember Heartbreaker posted her opinion of the Lifetime movie about Jodi and said it was a pretty good watch. It was aired just after the trial verdict was delivered, IIRC. I was all Jodi'd out at that point and never watched it. I read that it's being aired again this Saturday.
