I will miss him. He has been part of the culture for so long and his Spock character will live forever.

His character was initially depicted as the USS Enterprise's science officer for the original pilot, "The Cage" (1964). He was to appear in 'What Ever Happened to Calamity Jane' but lost out when the setting for the movie was changed from the American frontier to Hollywood and the lead character played by Bette Davis was changed from frontierswoman to spoiled child/psychopathic brat.
