I never considered you'd rely on sights.
You've always done a great job "shooting from the hip", in here.
I wouldn't doubt this is the case, IRL, too.
Actually, I am going off topic now. Since you mentioned it I will take a second to brag a bit.
I hold the record in our competition group in a few categories, one of them is actually shooting from the hip. When the buzzer goes off the clock starts and so does the shooter. Shooter must start with gun holstered, hand off gun. My record is 8.0 seconds, from the hip 7 yard distance empty entire mag [14 rounds] no misses. Sounds easy and at a short distance but it is far from easy.
I also hold the record for the Bill Drill. This is a scenario designed by the feds to train their agents. 5 Targets, 5 yards, two kill shots to each target and do a magazine change anywhere you want in the middle of the drill. Feds shoot for 5 seconds, but few can do it. I did it in 6.67 seconds , with all head shots.
I also hold the overkill award. In a stage where I only needed to take out 6 BG's with two shots to each, without hitting a innocent. I emptied a entire mag [30 rounds] through my AR15, hit no innocents and took out the BG's and still did it in time.
Ok I am done bragging now.
