Damn!! I could do that now!! I've been pretty conservative (i.e, cheap) about using it but when I get home this afternoon, I'm going to put that thing to work. I haven't set it below 70 but I'm going to see what 65-68 feels like.
Usually around here though the night temps tend to drop enough to be fairly comfortable so on a cooler day, before I go to bed I throw open the windows and enjoy the fresh air but I doubt it will get comfortably cool at all tonight. Besides, if I set it at 67 (for example) and the house cools to 67, the stupid thing will shut itself off anyway.
I have a lot to learn about having a/c and making the most of it. I'm a little curious what it's going to do to our energy bill though. Running the heater in the winter...our bills average $350-400/mo. In the summer (pre a/c, around $170). I'm just hoping they don't go way higher than winter.
