Clang, you're not doing him any favor by giving him what he wants. Please, stop. If you continue to give him what he wants he will never be forced into making his own money and you will continue to be broke. Just stop. When you get paid, pay yourself first and by that I mean open a savings account and put the money in immediately.

Can you tell me what is stopping you from telling him no when he asks? It's not like he makes life easier for you at home, he doesn't. I've seen you say he doesn't help around the house. He's a freeloader and you are enabling him.
yes, ma'am. We're going to the Sterling Renaissance Festival this weekend and I'm going to try and make sure he uses some of the money he got from the NYS unclaimed money website to pay his fair share of the expenses. So far I paid for the hotel room and he won free tickets. I've already stopped paying for some of his meals that we eat out. Usually it ends up that I pay for lunch and dad pays for dinner.
I'm usually stopped from telling him no because he threatens not to make me his plus one when he wins the free tickets for concerts and events. I could cut him off, save up and pay for the stuff myself but seriously who doesn't love free stuff?

I wish I could be like my oldest brother who came here last weekend to help us clean up the house and get ready to move out in the fall, but instead ended up leaving in a huff after chewing my brother out for not looking for work and doing more chores and stuff around the house. My brother actually said "if we were both working then our situation would be the same." I told him no it wouldn't. Before, the pipes burst and the furnace broke and it got too cold I was working a couple hours a day on my days off, de-junking the house. Also, I was getting no help from you so I gave up my cleaning effort. It's sad but our old retired dad does more than my unemployed brother and dad sleeps half the time.

Oh and I do have a savings account opened. But have not been able to put anything but the minimum $200 required to open it. To be fair, my brother's freeloading is part of the reason why I haven't saved but it also doesn't help that I've had like $1200 in speeding tickets in the last few months.
