I didn't know that. The practice (not the panel) was definitely racist and if I owned the carousel and black families felt it was scaring their kids or something, I'd consider removing that panel and donating it to a museum. But, that would be my personal and business choice.
Anyway, I wanted to see what kinds of other weird panels were still out there on carousels; I'm sure there are some that depict subjugation of women, spooky looking white kids, etc.. But, I got distracted when I came across these items.
